Since launching SugarCubes PDX, it has been our dream to create a cozy, home-based venue featuring catered events such ticketed teas and private parties. In 2019, we renovated a room connected to our Airbnb (The Forest Suite at Barnwood Farm) that fulfills this dream. We plan to offer Airbnb "experiences" that will enable our guests to learn more about this beautiful area at the end of the Oregon Trail. We've entertained people from 15+ countries and all over the US during our seven years as hosts, and are excited to extend this new experience to guests and others.

 

By the way, because our home is designed like a barn (it was based on the architecture of the 1911 barn you'll pass as you come up the hill), the vibe of The Tea Room is a blend of rustic farmhouse style AND British tea room refinement!

We LOVE hosting birthday tea parties for guests ages five to 12! Our kid's party themes are described on Kids' Tea Parties To Go page and include Fancy Nancy, Princess Charlotte and Unicorn Teas.
